Vivian Glueck was born in New York, but spent her early childhood in Argentina during the time her father founded both Citromax S.A.C.I. and Fritzsche SAICA. After earning a BA from Barnard College in physics and a Master’s degree from Columbia University in astrophysics, Vivian went to work for NASA. After two years at NASA, she came to work for her father at Citromax, taking over as acting head of the company in 1997. Vivian was officially named President of the family of Citromax companies in 2001. A married mother of four, Vivian devotes her spare time to charitable work and serves on the Boards of several venerable New York institutions.
Elaine Kellman-Grosinger is a flavor industry hall-of-famer who began her career at International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) as a flavor trainee. From there she moved to Fritzsche D&O as a flavor chemist, then Felton/F&C, where she ran the company’s East Coast division, followed by Givaudan and H&R/Symrise, before joining Citromax in 2005 to head the company’s newly formed flavor division. Elaine has a BS from Brooklyn College and a Master’s from NYU. When she’s not creating the tastes of tomorrow, she can be found playing the piano or perfecting her Downward-Facing Dog.
Andy has been in the flavor/fragrance and essential oils business since 1982. After receiving his BS in Chemistry from Wagner College, he went to work as a chemist in the QC group at Fritzsche Dodge and Olcott. He spent the bulk of his career dealing with essential oils and flavors, and is expert in all aspects of essential oils. He received his MBA in Management of Innovation and Strategic Planning from Rutgers Business School, and eventually became involved with more commercial roles. At Citromax, Andy’s role is to expand the product portfolio, find new and better ways to produce existing products, and open new markets. His favorite part of this role is that he gets to work with so many expert colleagues across many different functions and locations. For leisure, Andy enjoys bicycling, reading fiction and spending time with his wife and teenaged daughter.
Glen is a native Californian based in Southern California having joined Citromax Flavors in May, 2009. He has over 14 years sales experience with Citromax Flavors, Sensient Flavors and Flavors of North America (FONA). Glen is the West Coast Sales Manager managing Citromax Flavor Accounts from the Mountain States to the West Coast. Glen has a Bachelor Degree in Enology from California State University, Fresno. Glen also has over 25 years of Product Development/Technical/Technical Management experience in the development of products for the Wine, Dairy, Food, Food Service and Quick Service Restaurant Industries. Glen is married with two adult children. Glen is a Professional Member of the Institute of Food Technologist active since 1979.
Joe Clark gives new meaning to the words loyalty, commitment and growth. He began working for Citroil upon his graduation from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1977, where he received both a BS and MS, and is responsible for QA / QC for all of the company’s products. Citromax is truly a family-oriented company, and we are proud to have Joe’s daughter Lindsey as part of our QC team as well! When he’s not applying strict and rigorous controls to ensure that every product that leaves the New Jersey facility meets the Citromax excellence guarantee, he enjoys reffing youth soccer and playing with computers and ponds.
Fernando begin working with Citromax close to 20 years ago, first with Nurseries, then in Farm Management for more than 10 years, and also as Human Resources Manager.
He was trained as an Agricultural Engineer with a Specialization in Citrus Production at the University of Valencia, and has an MBA. He represents the citrus industry in several institutions such as Director of Estacion Experimental Agroindustrial Obispo Colombres. While with Senasa, he was part of the Citrus Technical National Committee and a Member of the International Citrus Society, among other representations. He is still very involved with fruit production at Citromax Orchards, and coordinates with the other production areas. He enjoys riding his dirt bike and traveling over the Tucumán Mountains which have some of the most beautiful views of Argentina.
Michael Mahon was born and raised in New Jersey and lived in Pennsylvania while enrolled in college. Michael attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and studied Business Administration and developed a passion for International Business. Once he completed his studies in 2008, he went on to work for an importer and has been involved with numerous aspects of supply chain management to include logistics, government compliance, quality assurance, purchasing and production. He loves the New York Giants and spending time with his family and friends.
Maria de los Angeles Cazorla, a Chemical Engineer, graduated from the National University of Tucumán and joined Citromax in 1982 as a Shift Chemist, before being promoted to Chief of Quality Control. Right from the start, she has been deeply involved in product quality control in both the Laboratory and the Industrial Area, having had the opportunity to collaborate with Jacob Glueck in the development of new products and processes control. Over the years Maria has been specially trained in the implementation of International Standards that has won the company numerous Certifications related to Quality and Food Safety. In her spare time she enjoys hiking in the foothills of Tucumán, a way to be in touch with nature.
Born in Jujuy, Rubén graduated as a biochemist from the National University of Tucumán. In 1997 he began his work in the citrus industry in the laboratory of quality working on microbiological controls in general and especially of juices. He performed and implemented analytical controls of all the industrial products and fresh fruit which include chromatography techniques (Liquid and Gas), determination of pesticides and implementation of quality systems. In 2005 he joined Fritzsche S.A.I.C.A. and in 2009 he moved to Citromax S.A.C.I. to work on the analytical evaluation of essential oils. Married with four children, he enjoys cooking and playing tennis.
Eduardo is an Agricultural Engineer with a specialization in citrus production from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Spain. He has been active on citrus farms since he was a very young boy, helping his father who was a well-known Citriculture Searcher and Advisor in the north of Argentina. Eduardo was also a Citrus Advisor until he started working for Citromax 20 years ago. He loves spending his free time with his family and friends at Tafi del Valle, a picturesque Villa on the hills.
Jorge is a chemical engineer who graduated from The National University of Tucumán. He started working for Citromax in 2001 as Head of Production, and is currently acting as Production Manager. Jorge’s responsibilities include planning, management and process control along with leading an efficient team that acts synergistically with other parts of the company. Some of the major challenges he’s overcome have been the development of a superior dewaxing process, and the transfer of production to our new location in Archeral. Jorge enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children, aged 10 and 12.
After growing up in China, Ruolin’s curiosity brought her to the United States where she finds herself exploring completely different projects than those that occupied her in her native country. She is a recent food science graduate from the University of Maryland, where she received her BS in food. Roulin also earned a Masters in Science at Rutgers University. Ruolin spent several years studying abroad, gaining experience that encouraged independence, while giving her the opportunity to make international friends. Ruolin enjoys an active lifestyle and in her spare time she likes singing, dancing, cooking, travelling and shopping. In addition, she gets much pleasure from babysitting her one-year-old nephew. Ruolin is passionate about bringing her technical knowledge to the Citromax Product Development group. She believes that by joining Citromax, she has made a brilliant start!
A native of Argentina, Christian graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 1998. He joined the thrilling world of Citrus as Quality Control Chief at an agro-industrial company in the province of Jujuy. Twelve years later, he decided to take part in a similar citrus project in Bolivia, where he served as head of Quality Assurance, later adding some responsibilities regarding the commercialization of Industrial Citrus Products. In early 2017, Christian joined the Citromax family. An avid traveler, passionate about cooking, tea-tasting, trekking, and photography, he enjoys spending time with fellow travelers from around the world, under the cultural exchange framework of the non-profit organization he has belonged to for the past ten years.
Mariano recently joined Citromax as Commercial Manager and Head of Fresh Fruit Sales for both lemons and blueberries. He was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where he earned a degree in Agricultural Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. Mariano began working in the citrus industry when he was just 24 years old. During that time, he gained first-hand experience in production, packing, processing and sales for both the domestic and export markets. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, sharing moments with his friends and practicing yachting and fishing.
