June: Environment Month

Throughout June, Environment Month, Citromax reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through a full agenda of activities, events, and educational initiatives that reflect our purpose of generating a lasting, positive impact on our surroundings.

Participation in Strategic Events

Our Environment and Sustainability Manager, Rodolfo Arrueta, was invited to speak at several provincial and national events, sharing Citromax’s vision and experience in sustainability:

  • World Environment Day | We took part in the event organized by the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of San Miguel de Tucumán, which brought together more than 8,000 people interested in protecting the planet.
  • Compartiendo Excelencia | In this dialogue on innovation and business competitiveness organized by Fundación del Tucumán, we joined a panel alongside representatives from Pampa Energía, Vaca Muerta, Omint, Helios Salud, and Fundación Excelencia.
  • National Congress on Agricultural Education (Catamarca) | An event organized by the Ministry of Education, the Secretariat of Education, and INET, where we addressed the environmental challenges faced by industries in Tucumán.

Sustainability in Action: Community Dialogue

On June 26, Citromax participated in the event “Sustainability in Action: Business Strategies for a Responsible Future”, organized by Punto Ecológico Concepción, the Department of Environment, and the Municipality of Concepción.

Representing our company, Florencia Quiñones, Sustainability Officer, shared the main initiatives we lead both within and beyond the organization, through a strategic and innovative approach aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Bridging Industry and Education

As part of our commitment to capacity building, Federico Paredi, Head of Electrical Maintenance at Citromax, gave a technical talk on renewable energy at Escuela de Comercio No. 1. The presentation addressed key topics such as the energy transition, efficient resource use, biogas generation, and the energy model implemented at Citromax. These actions aim to foster a strong environmental culture based on knowledge and the training of future generations.

Participation in Smart City Expo

We participated as attendees at the Smart City Expo held in Santiago del Estero—one of the region’s most relevant forums on sustainable cities, territorial development, and innovation. Engaging in this type of event allows us to strengthen ties with public, private, and academic stakeholders committed to a smarter and more responsible future.

Education for Biodiversity Conservation

We also celebrated the closing of the conference series “Sustainable Institutions: Understanding to Preserve Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services”, which took place throughout May and was promoted by Citromax alongside key stakeholders in the education and environmental sectors. The series featured contributions from Fundación ProYungas, the Horco Molle Experimental Reserve, and various departments within the Ministry of Education of Tucumán.

We are grateful to all the individuals and institutions who made these initiatives possible and who continue to support our journey toward a more conscious, coordinated, and committed approach to environmental management.

We invite you to learn more about these activities on our social media and to continue supporting us as we carry out more sustainable actions.
