Waste Valorization
At Citromax, we classify all the waste generated throughout the value chain. We separate plastic, cardboard-paper, and metals for recycling, and we generate compost from 100% of the organic waste generated throughout the production process.

Water Management
We work hard to achieve water efficiency and maximize the use of energy resources.
In 2022, 100% of the biogas obtained was utilized for heating the treated effluent in the anaerobic reactor.
AGROECOLOGICAL GARDEN
Our Agroecological Garden covers an area of 1200m2 and is fertilized with our own high-quality compost. In 2022, the garden supplied 25% of the vegetables required by the kitchen, and we aim to provide 50% of the necessary vegetables in 2023. This ensures a supply of fresh, agroecological, and seasonal vegetables that complete the circle of our circular economy.

Carbon Stock
At Citromax, we are 100% committed to the environment and the sustainability of our business. That’s why we have started assessing the carbon stock of all our farms and conducting inventories of the carbon footprint of each of our products. Our goal is to become a carbon-neutral company.
Conservation of Natural Habitats, Biodiversity and Ecosystems
Native forests are a crucial resource for preserving natural habitats and their biodiversity. That’s why 60% of Citromax’s total hectares preserve the characteristic native forest of the yungas region. This effort is part of the Protected Productive Landscape program. Watch the video to learn more.
